After being accused of offering Lil Durk a whopping $3 million to engage in a troll battle for album promo, Tekashi 6ix9ine has found a new way to raise awareness for his upcoming Tattle Tales album.
Which means collaborating with the ostracized Canadian singer Tory Lanez, who has been keeping relatively quiet after Megan Thee Stallion alleged he shot her in both of her feet.
“I got this old Tory record that he cleared for me in 2017,” Tekashi teased in his Instagram Story on Sunday (August 30). “IM WRONG IF I PUT IT ON MY ALBUM??? It’s already cleared and IT’S A FUCKIN HIT.”
The rainbow-haired rapper also included a poll for his 24.3 million followers to vote on. Despite Megan’s confession, the LAPD is said to still be investigating the charges that could be pursued.
In standard fashion, the rollout behind Tekashi’s upcoming second studio album has been layered with sensationalism. After seeing his Nicki Minaj-assisted single “TROLLZ” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June, he officially announced the project’s existence earlier this week in Chicago. In doing so, he went the distance to antagonize locally-bred rappers Lil Durk, Lil Reese and others by pouring out liquor in their hoods and repeatedly referencing Durk’s slain cousin.
For his part, Durk has announced an album of his own — The Voice — to be released opposite Tattle Tales on September 4.
New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s girlfriend Jade is giving the real-life troll a reason to make her mad. The hip-hop model went online to playfully tease her boo about feeling tempted enough to leak his upcoming Tattle Tales album.
JADE THREATENS TO LEAK TATTLE TALES On Sunday, Jade hit up Instagram with the ultimate threat to 6ix9ine. She shared footage of herself quenching the thirst trap and playing audio of Tekashi’s new LP.
On Sunday, 6ix9ine hit up Instagram and kept things 100. Tekashi revealed he had a fire Tory Lanez collaboration he recorded prior to going to federal prison in November 2018. The announcement comes following Tory’s fall from fame after getting outed by ex-pal Megan Thee Stallion as the person responsible for shooting her at a party.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is to release a new album next week.The 24-year-old rapper will drop new record 'Tattle Tales' on September 4th, which will be his first album since he was released from prison earlier this year.
Speaking in a video on his Instagram, he said: "I'm dropping the album September 4th, 'Tattle Tales' the album."Make sure you go and pre-order that album."
He added the caption: "EVERYONE GO PRE SAVE THE ALBUM. TATTLE TALES SEPTEMBER 4TH !!! WE JUST LANDED IN THE BEAUTIFUL CHICAGO (sic)"
The record is expected to feature Tekashi's Nicki Minaj collaboration 'Trollz', and his single 'Gooba'.
He was jailed for two years in December on charges relating to attempted murder, conspiracy to distribute heroin, and firearms-offences.
The rapper was due to be released early in July, but instead he was released in April and placed under house arrest for a four-month period, which came to an end earlier this month.
On the same day, August 2nd, he dropped new song 'Punani'.He wrote on Instagram at the time: "WHO SAÏD WE AINT OUTSIDEEEEE. PUNANI FREE (sic)"
Earlier this month, Tekashi 6ix9ine broke his wrist after falling over his dog.He was said to have been left in agony when he went downstairs in the early hours on August 11th to grab a snack only to trip over French bulldog Poppy and injure himself when he tried to break his fall.
